Creative Coaching with Phoebe Gander
I know how challenging it can be to call yourself an artist. I have struggled in the past to find "my style" and navigate social media. I have learnt a lot the hard way! But now a lot of what I do feels enjoyable and dare I say it - easy. One thing I know is that I love to see others succeed, and I would really love to help other artists overcome some of the hurdles that I found challenging. That's why I'm offering coaching services to help artists like you. If you need help in areas such as improving your social media presence, gaining confidence in your own abilities, or identifying areas that you want to focus on and improve in your art practice, then maybe I can be the Gandalf to your Frodo, or the Dumbledore to your Harry? (although a bit younger and less wizardy??!)
I'm definitely not promising you a six-figure salary, a magic formula to go viral or the way to gain 10,000 followers overnight. I'm not a wizard after all. I'm just a regular person like you, but I happen to have quite a bit of experience up my paint covered sleeves and I would love to offer my guidance, support and encouragement - with a bit of humour thrown in for free.
I have studied Art & Design and have a BA(hons) degree in surface pattern/textile design. In 2021 I took a three month long creative practice development course with Nicolas Wilton called 'The Creative Visionary Program', which really highlighted for me the benefit of coaching. Since I started creating art again in 2018 I have amassed over 90,000 followers on Instagram. My art has sold worldwide from Auckland to Alaska, and I have work in several galleries throughout New Zealand. I have taken part in Auckland's prestigious Art In The Park art show and I am a host in an annual studio tour of artists in the area I live. Finally, I am one half of the podcast "Fail Like An Artist" which has charted number one in both NZ and Australia. I believe that a rising tide lifts all ships, so together we are far more likely to succeed than when we work alone!
Below I have links to booking your first coaching session. My time zone is in New Zealand but I will find a time that works for us both. Once you have booked your session, you will be sent an email with a link to my calendar.
