"Nostalgia, solitude, vulnerability, and light are the themes that reoccur in my art. I have always been a nostalgic person, and spend a lot of time lost in memories. The type of low light that casts long shadows is so fleeting, beautiful and magical. Shadows can only exist with light, and we all have both light and dark sides. My artwork aims to capture a moment in time, to convey my own personal experience of the world via my artwork, to say “I see the world this way, do you?” and in turn provoke a response within the viewer. Maybe to show you the beauty that can be found in the mundane, or simply evoke a memory from long ago"
